Jancke-Christoff is a past National Chairman of the Watercolour Society of South Africa, and was awarded the Civic Gold Medal Award for his contribution to art and culture in society by the Alberton City Council. He constantly contributes his skills and talents by acting as judge and selector for numerous art societies, art institutions and educational bodies. He has presented papers at various symposiums and workshops, and as art journalist ran art columns for two newspapers and acted as art critic for two newspapers. Art workshops dealing with art techniques, history and design are offered at his studio and gallery. He also presents workshops on creativity and the psychological meaning in children's art. Amongst other qualifications, he holds a Master's degree in Visual Art and Art History, and has lectured in Fine Art, Art History and Psychology.
Jancke-Christoff Combrinck was born in Jamestown, South Africa. He completed his schooling in Bloemfontein, and has since resided in Gauteng. J-C is a committed and versatile artist. His work has won acclaim during and after his numerous local and international exhibitions. He has the ability to access and develop new directions to keep his art alive. He respects the creation of art through a variety of views and thoughts. As artist, his non-negotiable expectation of himself and other artists is that of good quality, both in content and expression. The one inexorable quality that forms the golden thread throughout his work, is the high positive energy and spark that is generated in all his art.His work is continuously appreciated and enjoyed in many homes as well as corporate and private collections worldwide.
