Hand painting of miniature soldiers

    Heroes and Villains started a number of years ago collecting and selling vintage unpainted plastic toy soldiers from the 1950's primarily from the world famous toy manufacturer Marx.That success especially on eBay gave way to painting and crafting the soldiers in historically accurate uniforms and dress placed in authentic diorama settings. Easily photographed these figures became well known in our eBay store. Our reputation grew as the most prolific and finest artists on eBay and throughout the hobby in the US and around the world.

    Though we specialize in our own hand painted artistic rendering of figures we  grew to appreciate the immense nature of the hobby. There are many internationally notable manufacturers that offer every type and material in miniature figures. Names like Wm. Britains, Conte Collectibles and King and Country are a few among these which we also purvey.

    We procure unpainted figures from every possible source. Our particular favorites come from St. Petersburg, Russia at which is the home of Faberge Eggs. Here the figures are made from a lead/tin alloy and are the best in the world. Some of them sell painted from Russia for over $1,000 for a 54mm figure.
     We sell these, and our own painted figures.

    Since our origin we have also developed a painting serive. This is so that we can paint your own unpainted or worn figures. Orders of small armies have been filled with some three to five hundred figures. Yes we do offer a volume discount!
