I started to draw and paint at the age of 2 years, but the Magnussa style first surfaced in the year 1973. I got awarded the First Price of the Austrian Art School and represented Austria in an international Art & Craft Festival, in 1973. After that, I had about 20 exhibitions in Austrian banks, district museums and galleries, beside my normal profession and university studies.
This painting is done during meditation, in a relaxed state that allows the subconscious mind to take over and lead the hand, expressing feelings and emotions on paper or canvas. The MAGNUSSA style is a very unique and personal style that has been said to resemble "Phantastic Realism" but is not identical with it!
