English Watercolor Painting

From her youngest years Seema Sahu realized that she had a fascination for the colors of nature. Its then she used to sit on a stool placed in front of a flower pot with a paint brush in her hand.

Born in 1958 in a small town in India her hobby quickly transformed into passion and later into exquisite pieces of art. After her marriage she moved to a beautiful and lush green city, Nagpur (India), also known as the orange city. Her stunning pieces of work continued in oil on canvas, watercolor and ceramic paintings covering various subjects like nature, still life, copy of great masters, human and animal figures, cave paintings, abstract and modern art. She had organized various exhibitions in Nagpur and also exibitited her work in some very reputable places like Chimroza Art Gallery in 1995 and Nehru Art Gallery in the 2000, both of which are located in Mumbai.

Besides painting she had a keen interest in the landscaping, Vaastu, Feng Shui, gardening. Perhaps her greatest accomplishment in landscaping is the beautification of Film City (Bollywood) Studios, Mumbai which she was called upon to do and which won her accolades from the rich and the famous from Tinsel Town. She has done landscaping of large multinational corporate houses like Raymond, Ispat and DCL Polyester, besides winning prizes along with her husband at Nagpur Garden Club in rose, plant and bonsai categories numerous times.
