Ann's landscapes reflected the rich vibrancy of her country. Cadmium Orange finds its place amongst Naphthol Red and rich turquoise and blue hues. Most of the areas covered are the Tulbagh and
Little Karroo areas, where Ann has spent much time, although at times her inspiration comes from further a field, such as Mauritius and the Transkei.
