Heavy color painting is developed by a group of Yunnan artists, which blended the western oil painting with the chinese water-color painting. They have created a style which does not belong to neither the East nor the West but to the world. The artists painted the bright colors of western paintings on the shape of chinese paintings. Yunnan heavy color paintings richly reflect the life style and the ethnic cultures in Yunnan. They were originally painted on lambskin and later replaced by man-made leather. Our products promote a new presentation by backing the drawing onto a chinese picture scroll creating a fusion of ethnic culture with traditional chinese arts.
