Grass cloth(named XIABU,in chinese) , a Chinese utterance for textile fabric, refers to a grass cloth made from a sort of grass linen and with an antique weaving technique that is almost as old as the recorded history of China. XIA stands for the Xia Dynasty, the first of many recorded dynasties in Chinas history of approximately five thousand years ago; BU literally in English means cloth. XIABU, a national treasure of the Chinese ancient civilization, is woven through a complicated and fastidious procedure.
