Rare Old Rug of 360 Years of Age

This lovely scene depicts a young couple in an outdoor setting enjoying music and drink. The colors have remained vibrant though the past years. The flowers, trees and grass are as life-like as the two characters. The main picture is bordered by a pattern of deer and buildings. This border is itself bordered on top and bottom by an identical design of flowers and shapes. The fringe is basically in tact. The back of the carpet shows some wear, but for its age, this rug is in very good condition.

It measures approximately 217 x 131 cm, and it was hand made more than a century ago.
