Vertical Tubeless Design Thermal Fluid Heaters These heaters operate with larger piping and a faster flow rate than coil units. Fulton tubeless fuel-fired thermal fluid heaters feature annular design and capacities up to 1.736 million BTU/hr. Choice of fuels includes oil, gas (propane available) or a combination. On/off or modulating options provide precise control of system temperature. The top-mounted down fired burner delivers a spinning flame down the length of the furnace. The flame retarders retain the flame for efficient heat transfer. As the flame swirls downward, in a controlled flow pattern, the fluid spirals upward in the fluid vessel. The hot gases from the flame are carried up the outside of the vessel in the secondary flue passage convection area. Convection fins welded the full length of the vessel transmit the remaining heat into the outer side of the fluid vessel and into the fluid. The result is even heating of thermal fluids for optimum thermal efficiency.
