This is the World's most advanced computer-controlled ethanol production boiler for small-scale ethanol production systems, and is designed to directly drive a packed-column reflux still (such as a Charles 803). The unit simply hooks up inline between your fermentation tank and your still. It takes in room-temperature beer and turns it into 100% steam at a rate of approx. 30 gallons/hour++.

The EB120 can easily drive a 6" distillation column. If you have a smaller diameter distillation column (like a 3" or 4" Charles 803), you can easily throttle down the EB120's output by disconnecting one or more of the six heating elements in the boiler in order to match your column's capacity.

Because of its outstanding performance, the unit can also be used "on-demand." The EB120 enables your still to go from room temperature to producing alcohol in around 5 minutes! No need to wait hours for your boiler to heat up and begin producing steam. The EB120 gets to work immediately, and at a VERY high rate (completely turning around 30 gallons of beer into steam per hour++) with no operational limits. Run anything from one gallon to 1,000 gallons or more non-stop. And the best part is that the EB120 is completely automatic. No more adjusting, tweaking, or sitting around watching. Just turn it on and walk away. The EB120 will run unattended.

The EB120 includes a built-in proportional solenoid valve that controls the cooling water flow into your still. Combined with the included custom remote temperature probe (3" long with 1/2" Male NPT Thread with a 10' cord), the on-board computer in the EB120 automatically operates the still's control temperature. This is defaulted to 173 degrees F, but can be easily changed via the remote control if you want a higher or lower control temperature.

With this system, you can get rid of the Johnson or Sterlco temperature valve on your still, as well as the dial thermometer. The EB120 not only automatically controls the temperature, but gives you a digital readout of the still's control temp in real time.

The included EB120 Remote Control features a programmable digital timer, and a digital temperature readout of your still's control temperature. Other features include automatic tank flush and drain after each use, ability to control external valves and pumps, and much more. Also included is a serial interface which allows the EB120 to be controlled and monitored from a remote computer, forming the heart of a totally automated production facility.

Customers who purchase and use the EB120 system within the United States must obtain an Federal Alcohol Fuel Producer Permit in order to legally operate the system. This permit is available in one of three (3) classifications; "small", "medium", and "large" fuel producer. The "small" permit classification allows the permit holder to produce up to 10,000 gallons of ethanol per calendar year.
