Motor Protection System :
A Boiler with modulation card perceives the outside temperature and reaches the most productive combustion by consumpting less fuel.
The automatic ignition provides a comfort usage, By setting the weekly programme , the boiler is to be ignited and switched off at any time during the week . The user shall not need to deal with the ignition , setting the water temperature of the boiler and switching it off.
As it may be seen clearly from the figure , the ignition is achieved via an electrical resistance device that is located into a pipe and leading to the burn pot. The ignition temperauture needed for the fuel to be ignited is between 250 C and 400 C.
Automatic Ignition :
As the outside temperature decreases , the preset water temperature of the boiler is increased or conversely when the outside temperature increases , the preset water temperature of the boiler is decreased automatically.
As there are big differences between the temperatures occuring during the day time and night time ,the outside temperature is measured in order to modulate the water temperature of the boiler.
One of the other important modulation methods of the boiler is its ability to modulate itself according to the outside temperature as there are different countries from different locations of the world.
3. Modulation according to outside temperature ;
The less is the temperature of the gas given out , the more efficient the boiler is.
The flue temperature is measured via the help of a sensor connected to the electronic card. The maximum flue temperature is set on the electronic panel. The boiler shall not exceed the set flue temperature by regulating the fuel feeding time and the fan speed by this way not only the level of fire is controlled but also the limit heat and the emission given to the environment is kept.
2. Modulation according to the flue temperature ;
The operation capacity of the boiler is decreased one by one from % 100 to % 1 . In the modulation card , the fuel feeding and the fan speed of the system is shared to 100 steps. By decreasing one by one the capacity of the boiler is minimized from % 100 to % 1 . When there is a heat demand , the boiler itself automatically increases the fuel feeding time and the fan speed.
Modulation card reduces the fuel feeding time , it purports that the amount of fuel transported to the burn pot is lesser. The minimum air amount that is required for an ideal combustion , is managed by reducing the fan speed ( by reducing the motor cycle of the fan )This means that the air flow blown to the burn pot is decreased.As the oxygen amount for the combustion is decreased this breeds the fire level to be shortened.

The advantages of the modulation system ;
Thanks to this , the combustion level is minimized and the boiler is not required to operate in full operation .
When we set the boilers Preset Temperature : 55 C , the boiler shall reduce the full operation capacity by itself . This is achieved by reducing the fuel feeding time and the fan speed automatically.
According to the position of the building , the capacity is choosen ( for instance ; a 40.000 Kcal/H Boiler ) When the heat demand is less in the building , the boiler is to be operated as a 20.000 KCal/H or 25.000 Kcal/H capacity.
