The Flextube is a five pass commercial watertube boiler. It is excellent for use in penthouse applications due to small physical size and light weight. It has easy to replace tubes, uses low water volume for fast heat up by design. With its bent tube design, it is considered almost impervious to thermal shock. The flextube boiler is less expensive than the firetube, but is more sensitive to water care on steam and is not as heavy duty as the firetube.
