The combination of innovative mechanical engineering, positive control hydraulic closed loop circuitry, electrical motion controls and radio and a direct wired operator's panel make for an intuitive feel of all movements by the operator.
The IRON DERRICKMAN ? PLUS vertically lift's, racks and un-racks stands of Drill Pipe, Heavyweight and Drill Collars to 10" racking collar fingers all without a Derrickman in the derrick or a Roughneck on the drill floor.
The IRON DERRICKMAN? PLUS is a racking board mounted pipe handling system that is designed to mount into existing offshore Jack-up or Platform drilling rigs. The system removes drilling hands from the racking board and the drill floor during tripping operations.
