Transmission:  Proven powershift transmissions, sized for model and application, selected from ROYAL's field proven Industrial Lift Truck Line, provide two or three gear speed selections depending on the model being used, which may be used when the frame is retracted. This permits faster setup, resulting in improved productivity and profit.  When the frame is extended for maximum load handling capability, the higher gear or gears are automatically locked out, reducing maximum travel speed, to improve load handling stability and for operator and equipment protection.   OPTIONAL: Sundstrand hydrostatic drive transmission is available.

Brakes:  Heavy-duty hydraulic over oil actuated wet disc brakes with circulated oil cooling.  Engine options: Gasoline Liquid Propane Dual Fuel - Gas / LP Diesel Engine: GM4.3 Liter, 93 HP LP/Gas V-6 is used in model 25/35. GM 5.7 liter, 147 HP, LP Gas industrial OHV V-8 in Models 30/45, 40/60 and 50/70. GM8.1 Liter, 200 HP, LP Gas, industrial OHV V-8 in models 60/80 and 80/100. Optional Engine: Perkins model 1104C-44, 86 HP diesel in model 25/35, Cummins QSB5.9L, 130 HP diesel in models 30/45, 40/60, and 50/70. Cummins QSB5.9L, 174 HP diesel engine in models 60/80 and 80/100. Larger displacement, higher horsepower and torque rated engines provide power and improved gradeability unequaled by competitive equipment.
