RAIL MOUNTED GANTRY

Three Types Available
Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) Cranes can be divided into three types based on design and applications : rail mounted cranes, rail mounted cranes with cantilevers and automatic stacking cranes (ASC). In RMG crane applications the crane is normally performing all stacking functions and loading and unloading of terminal tractor and road truck trailers as well as railcars. RNG cranes can be built wider than RTG cranes to cover several tracks and road truck lanes simultaneously. RMG cranes move containers lengthwise to the correct position in the container stack. RMG stacks can have end or side feeding by terminal tractors or shuttle carriers or end feeding by AGVs.
