Reverse Osmosis Device

Reverse osmosis can be used in the following industries:
- Electric power: boiler feed water;
- Electronics: ultra-purified water for semi-conductor industry, purge water for integrated circuit;

- Petrochemical processing: water injected into oil field, advanced treatment of petrochemical wastewater;
- Sea water desalination, bitter water desalination.

Reverse osmosis device (RO) is realized by applying a pressure to the solution to make water penetrate a special semi-permeable membrane and separated away from the solution, in which, the pressure applied shall be higher than the osmotic pressure. This process is called as reverse osmosis as it is in reverse against the phenomenon of osmosis. As different substances have different osmotic pressures, inorganic ions, bacteria, virus, organics, colloids and impurities, etc. in raw water can be removed by a pressure that is higher than the osmotic pressure, and therefore, the solution is separated, extracted, purified and concentrated. As a high-efficiency ion separation method, reverse osmosis can be realized without heating and phase change, and the energy consumption is lower when comparing with traditional methods. And furthermore, such reverse osmosis device has a small cubage and can be easily operated, and there is a large scope of application.
