These are Tuned filters designed to operate at different tuning frequencies depending on the presence of them in the network. These are matched to the environment of the power supply system
considering the effect of multiple converters on the network voltage and current distortion factors and thus are assembled in a modular construction from which a number of modules can be assembled

Generally a tuned filter comprises of reactors and capacitors in a series resonant circuit. The tuning frequency of the filter is made to be equal with the harmonic frequencies generated by the
converter loads such as normally the 5th, 7th, 11th and 13th harmonics. Thus multiple filter circuits are designed for each of the prominent harmonic frequencies to offer a high level of
