Vacuum Oil Filtration System

Roots pump or mechanical booster pump is used with rotary oil sealed pump as a backing pump. Similar system can be used in the same equipment for evacuation/ drying of the transformers. Drying of transformer insulation and treatment of transformer oil can be done simultaneously. The

1. If requirement of dissolved gas content and moisture content is not stringent then single stage vacuum treatment plants are most suitable.
   
2. For more stringent requirements Multi-stage vacuum treatment plants can be supplied

If moisture content and dissolved gas requirement is stringent ( i.e. moisture content less than 5 PPM to 10 PPM and dissolved gas content is less than 0.1% to 0.2% by volume then multistage vacuum treatment systems are used.

The system is designed and manufactured to remove moisture, dissolved gases and carbon particles which are harmful to preserve isolating properties of transformer oil. System is also capable of removing sludge and other types of suspended solids. System is designed on low temperature and high vacuum principle. If high degree of vacuum is applied, boiling point of water and vapor pressure of volatile substances comes down drastically. Water vapors from free water and vapors of volatile substances escape from the oil, thus the isolating properties are improved.
By using high vacuum systems PPM level of moisture content can be brought down to as low as 5 PPM and dissolved gas content can be brought down to 0.1% to 0.2% by volume.

Operating Principle:

Most of the large transformers used in power distribution network use insulating Oil. This Oil slowly looses its insulating properties due to ingress of water ( from the moisture in the air ) suspended particles and sludge generated due to constant oxidation of the Oil. This Oil hence, needs to filtered and treated through a properly designed system for removal of water and other impurities.
Suyash manufactures a wide rage of transformer Oil purification plants. These plants use a combination of high vacuum treatment system and fine filtration. High vacuum is used for extracting water in form of vapors which are then condensated. This is then follpwed by fine filtration of oil. Finally the Oil is passed through a column of activated Alumina for correction of its acidity.
These plant have to be moved from one transformer to other . They are hence mounted on a trailer which can be towed to any location. The system is pre piped and pre wired and is practically ready for use. For making the system operational, only the following things are required to be done at site:
1) Inlet and outlet connections by flexible hose.
2) Connecting three phase electrical supply.
