The AMF? Thread filter is an automatic self-cleaning water filter that uses a unique filtration medium constructed of fine threads wound in layers around a grooved plastic spool
cassette. The AMF? Thread filters remove dirt particles as water flows through multi-layered thread cassettes To the collecting pipes and out of the filter via outlets. Dirt
particles accumulate on and in between the thread layers causing a differential pressure and at a preset pressure differential value or time interval, the control unit activates the
self-cleaning cycle.

The inlet and outlet valves close, and the drain valve and flushing valve open.
The booster pump delivers the pressurized water To the shuttle pipe. This pipe carries water To the nozzles that spray the surface of the cassette. This spray, referred To
as the flushing jet stream, penetrates the thread layers and hits the plastic support. The returning stream, referred To as the reject stream, together with the dirt from
the cassettes flows through the filter housing and out the filter via the drain valve. The combined flushing jet and reject streams ensure 100% cleaning.
The piston assembly propels the linear movement of the nozzles. When the linear movement is completed, the turn mechanism turns the cassette To a new index position and once
the cassettes have completed a full turn, the filter is clean.
When the cassettes are clean, the flushing valve and the drain close. The inlet and outlet valves open allowing water To flow through the filter and the booster pump stops
operating.
