POTENTIAL USERS AND APPLICATIONS

Where the above limitations are encountered, it is recommended that a Centrifugal Oil Cleaner and/or Vacuum Dehydrator be used.



Electrostatic filtration has the following primary limitations:-

  • Remove contamination down to < 1 micron, including all hard and some soft contaminants.
  • Remove metallic and non-metallic contaminants
  • Remove dust, dirt and rust
  • Traps contaminants caused by oxidation e.g suspended carbon particles, sludge, and varnishes.
  • Cleans to NAS class 5-6 better than new oil.

  • Cleans particles from any non-conductive fluid.
  • Improves performance of hydraulic components.

  • Autochange over facility for high/low voltage and continiously monitors high voltage and load current. There is no need for continious human monitoring.
  • High Voltage Transformer has a rating of up to 12KV/20mA whereas competitors usually have a limit of 10KV/10mA.
  • The Collector Papers have a better contamination handling capacity and longer life. In addition, replacement costs are also lower.
  • An internal gear pump used for reliability.

Our range of electrostatic cleaners have the following features:-

Electrostatic oil cleaning removes the majority of insoluble contaminants in oils down to 0.01 micron. Analysis of used oils have shown that more than 70 percent of contaminants are smaller than 1 micron. Furthermore, viscosity, the core property of oil, never changes unless you mix two oils, or oil and water. Multi-pass REGEN is performed on a kidney loop basis where the sump/reservoir is filtered continuously, independent of the machines normal operation. As such a specified or minimum flow rate does not have to be maintained. REGEN can be performed slowly and continuously reducing contamination to one micron or less.

It takes between 5 and 25 passes of reservoir volume to remove insoluble contaminants. After 40 passes, the cleaner will begin to scrub the machines internals, removing degradation by-products such as varnish and sludge. This is the most effective technology at eliminating problems associated with high levels to varnish and has no detrimental effect on oil and is safe to use for extended periods. The process cannot remove dissolved components of oil, so additives are not affected. Only particles, being separate from the oil, will be removed. The idea of using oil forever is not entirely wrong, because in a clean, cool and dry hydraulic system there is no possibility of oil deterioration. If you remove the causes, like particles, by the Electrostatic system, and control your temperature, oil can stay better than new.

Electrostatic oil cleaning is based on the principle of Coulombs force. Contamination collectors are sandwiched between electrodes. High, direct current voltage is applied as the oil flows through the media, electrically charging the insoluble particles and these are then attracted to either the anode or cathode, depending upon their charge, and are captured in the collector. The media used in the collectors is pleated with sharp angles and a rough finish to help maximize the effective surface area. A secondary influence gradient force assists in agglomerating the particles prior to collection. The combination of forces allows extremely fine metallic, nonmetallic, organic or inorganic particles to be captured.
