Rotary Vacuum Drum Filters

CHEM Rotary Vacuum Drum Filters, RVDF's are used for continuous separation of crystalline and anhydrous salts, solids and sludge from the slurry. They are designed with eight to twelve partitions for creating various chambers inside the body. The chamber designs are selected depending upon the type of slurry to be handled.Rotary Drum Filters are provided with perforated plates on its periphery, covered with filter cloth. This drum rotates at a very low speed. Vacuum suction arrangement is provided from the inside of the drum, connected to a vacuum blower. The drum is connected to the mother liquor receiver through a special type of a rotary valve and the receiver in turn is connected to the vacuum blower. Mother liquor receiver separates mother liquor and allows air to go to the vacuum blower.Salts/sludge/product is continuously scrapped through a doctor's knife, provided at the bottom of the drum.
