The DTF Module System for Nano Filtration With the use of nanofiltration technology, water recovery from waste of over 90 % can be achieved. The very small amount of soluble CaSO4 is safely controlled in the nanofiltration modules and filtered out of the raw solution. The downstream RO unit (nanofiltration permeate) performs the desalinization of monovalent ions. By removing CaSO4, the NF System reduces the limiting factors in the RO unit, specifically membrane scaling and solids removal. Water impurities concentrated in the nanofiltration stage precipitate in a reaction tank. Due to a total increase in concentration of up to 50 times (98% water recovery), many waste waters have a very high osmotic pressure. The nanofiltration permeate, therefore, is treated by a high pressure RO system operating at 1800 PSI. |
