The merit of acryl as filter housing is that its surface is transparent and it allows to check contamination degree with bare eyes, so it is more useful and is used for where simple percolation is needed including home-use water purifiers. To prevent breakage of filter, adequate replacement cycle is needed. Indoor installation is desirable to prevent winter sowing. The choice of Acryl as material of filter should be carefully decided because PP is opaque and contamination degree cannot be checked with bare eyes but it shows excellent chemical resistance. Change of differential pressure should be checked with pressure gauge during operation to decide correct time of filter replacement and also indoor installation is desirable
