ME-system filter

The designed ME-system is integrated in the exhaust piping of the vehicle, most of the times in place of the original muffler. The filter medium is made of (SiC), a high-tech ceramic. The filter is able to load the between 8 and 10 working hours. Then the maximum allowed backpressure is reached and the filter needs to be regenerated. For this purpose the electrical heating is activated while the engine is shut-down. Depending on the filter size, the regeneration is completely over from 1 to 1.5 hours. The entire process is supervised by the HUSS ZA3 control device.
