Automatic Multigrade Filtration

Media FiltrationPressure Filter Systems are typically used when raw water turbidity is grearter than 1NTU or there is an unacceptably high presence of iron or chlorine. They are of three types:Multi Media Filter use layers of different filter media to remove suspended solids from water. A typical multi-media filter has anthraciate in the top layer, sand in the middle, and garnet on the bottom. They are often used in conjuction with a polymer feed system to improve filtration efficiency. Activated Carbon Filters remove free chlorine, an oxidlzine agent thet damages most treatment systems. Greensand Filters remove iron and manganese from service water. A potassium permanaganate feeder is required to oxidize the iron and activate the greensand. Macrolite Media Filters are made with unique ceramic media which due to its uniform pherical shape facilitate better filtration efficiency. Its light weight is responsible for less than half water consumption for backwashing. Its ceramic media has greater restance over abrasion and thus it minimizes attrition losses.
