Like the Deep Bed Band Filter Systems, the Flat Bed Band Filter Systems use a float switch to transport the filter media.

The Flat Bed Band Filter System can be equipped with an integrated sump, or coolant can dump directly on the filter bed.

Ideal for water-based applications, the Flat Bed Band Filter Systems are fully automated and still economical systems.

Flat Bed Band Filter System - BFI Models

A float switch is used to automatically transport the media. When the coolant reaches a certain level, it automatically transports the media.

The sides of the filter bed use Buna or Viton Seals to prevent coolant from bypassing the filter media. The stock removal that builds on the filter media creates a "cake". The cake provides additional filtration.

On the Deep Bed Band Filter System, coolant enters into an integrated sump where it is pumped into a "dipped" band filter area. The "dipped" filter bed provides up to 8 additional inches of gravity pull, depending on model.

The Deep Bed Band Filter System takes the traditional band filter concept to the next level, providing superior filtration and avoiding messy overflows. The TBF Models are ideal for oil-based applications.

On oil or water based coolants, Hoffmann Filter has a gravity band filter system for your application. Hoffmann Filter offers two types of Gravity Band Filter Systems, the Deep Bed Band Filter System (TBF) and the Flat Bed Band Filter System (BFI).
