Works on the principle of rope wound around a drum which can only rotate in one direction. This allows instant change-overs (lift to lower / lower to lift). The ShorHoist can be purchased either fully pre-rigged (in 3:1 or 5:1) or Hoist only, allowing operator to rig Hoist as required.
