Laser Marking Systems

SPI Lasers marking systems out-perform conventional lasers in marking applications on metal, plastic and other surfaces. They are ideal for a wide range of marking applications including high-speed colour marking on stainless steel paint layer removal on mobile phone keypads and marking integrated circuits (ICs). Improved functionality: A single SPI fiber laser can be used for all types of marking applications, replacing Nd YAG, and YAG Vanadate q-switched systems, and giving users a much wider marking capability. Controllable: Pulse rates can be adjusted from continuous wave to single pulse and through to 500Hz repetition rate for deep marking or fast throughput thermal mark applications, at up to 200 characters per second. Accurate: SPI Lasers master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) architecture eliminates warm up / cool down time, so marks do not have missing starts or trailing edges. Pulse rapid-rise and cut-off is a key feature of the SPI design. Low cost of ownership: SPI fiber lasers are highly efficient. They use less energy than a conventional laser and require very little maintenance (no lamps to replace or mirrors to clean). Optimisation of process: SPI lasers allow users to menu-select pulse width and waveform, and to alter the average power and repetition rate, for optimum processing conditions according to each application.
