FunctionTested and classified PV cells need to be sorted and placed safely into storage or transportation boxes.For this purpose the SSD01 takes over the cells together with their bin data from the upstream testing machine. The cells are picked up by a vacuum suction cup and moved to the destination bins which are predefined by the testing and classification unit. Standard Styrofoam boxes are used for taking up the cells. The actual filling levels of all boxes are visible on the computer screen. If a destination bin has reached its maximum load a respective signal lamp is activated. After confirmation the drawer can be opened and the box can be exchanged against an empty one. The bin counter will be reset automatically. The basic machine allows for sorting into 16 classes. Optionally this may be extended to 32 or 48 classes. Each cell size requires its own box format. Styrofoam boxes are available for 125, 150 and 156mm cell sizes.
