Frequency Shifting Repeater Using the same concept as the Fiber Optic Repeaters, the Frequency Shifting Repeater differs by instead using fiber links, it uses a line of sight radio link. Connecting to the source of signal, the master unit connects to the remote unit via a linking frequency. The remote unit then amplifies the signal and redistribute it to the intended coverage area
