Test Stand Motor

Test stand motors and dynamometers are widely used throughout the automotive industry and heavy equipment industry for engines, transmissions, and drive trains, marine engines, alternators, pumps, racecars and military.

Test stand motors or dynamometers range in power ratings from a few horsepower to over 1000 horsepower and may be air-cooled or liquid cooled machines. Test stands may require high torque at low speeds, high power at high speeds, high power with low inertia for rapid response times or "pulse simulation", or high power, high inertia for load absorption.
