Description:
The Vacuum Mate 900 is a vacuum chamber, which allows remanufacturers to test the integrity of the cartridge before shipping. Cartridges like the 51626/51629 and 51645/51640 can be placed in the chamber, while the pressure inside is reduced to 16 inches of mercury, or approximately -.54 Bar. Cartridges that have not been"Balanced" correctly or that have cracks in them, from rough handling etc., will either leak at the print head or generate a small bubbles of ink at the compromised location.
What is "Balancing"? "Balancing" is the process of applying vacuum directly to the cartridge after filling.  This causes the bags inside to inflate.  If the bags are not inflated properly the cartridges can leak during transport.  By using the Vacuum Mate 900 remanufacturers can ensure that 51626/51629 and 51645/51640 cartridges have been balanced correctly.
