Applicable standards
The JIS, BS, ASTM and DIN standards to which the flanges are produced are detailed in the relevant product tables.
Composite flanges
Composite weld-neck and composite slip-on flanges are made up from two components an inner Cu-Ni 90/10 flange(welding collar) and an outer loose flange in carbon steel.
Composite blind flanges are made up from a carbon steel blind flange with a welded-on, and machined Cu-Ni 90/10 disc.
Solid Cu-Ni 90/10 flanges
Solid Cu-Ni 90/10 flanges are produced from bar by hot forging and machining.
Product range
Composite and solid Cu-Ni 90/10 flanges are available in standard sizes matching
those of the range of 14 bar and 20 bar Cu-Ni 90/10 pipe and butt-welding fittings.
Non-standard-size flanges are produced to certain minimum quantity limitations.
Availability on application.
Pressure rating
Class 150 for 14 bar rated systems.
Class 300 for 20 bar rated systems.
Inspection and testing
A series of stringent quality-control inspections and tests is performed throughout
the entire manufacturing process, from melting and alloying to the finished product
to ensure a product quality which complies with the customer's requirements.
Final inspection generally includes visual and dimensional control as well as chemical
and mechanical tests to ensure chemical, physical and dimensional accuracy.
Certification
All flanges are supplied with a certificate individually stating the tests which have been performed in accordance with the relevant specification and/or customer's requirements.
