One of the best ways to protect from unwanted emissions is to contain the noise within an enclosure. The enclosure lid needs to make good contact with the enclosure itself to create a complete conductive path. Stockwell has several materials available to be custom cut or molded into EMI gaskets. The nickel graphite or silver coated particles within the EMI gasket material polymer creates the conductive path. The polymer, usually silicone, also may serve as an environmental seal to protect from dust and moisture.
