ELECON GEAR BOXES:These gearboxes are built with high-grade raw materials & according to prevailing IS standards. The gear cases are made of streamlined design & are made of close-grained cast iron. It is totally oil tight & dust proof. Gear is of case ?hardening alloy steel. Worm is made of case ?hardening alloy steel & is integral with the shaft. The worms & worm wheels are mounted on ball or roller antifriction. In case of extra loads, extra bearing will be provided. Cooling is effected by polypropylene/ plastic fans. HP ratings indicated in the catalogues hold good for 12 Hrs. continuous running under uniform load being driven by electric motor. They give minimum gear life of 26,000 hours, subject to limitation of maximum oil temperature of 930C under full load, 350C ambient. Depending upon the nature of load, the characteristics of the prime mover & the duration of operation an appropriate service factor must be applied. Multiply the nominal absorbed HP.
