Up to two ZR471 units can be powered directly from the ZP loop. Systems withthree or more ZR471 units, or any number of ZR472 units must be powered viaexternal PSU.

The ZR400 allows thesystem designer full flexibility in nominating which devices on theloop are to be hardwired and which are to be wireless.

Wirelessdevices are featured in many fire detection and alarm systems,specified where the installation of hard wiring would be difficult orimpossible to complete, decorative finishes to the interior of theprotected building preclude wiring runs or where the time scales tocomplete installation are minimal.

Thetwo way version of the module enables alarm sounders and interfaceunits to be added to the wireless part of the installation.

A fullrange of wireless detection and alarm devices is available, includingoptical smoke sensors, thermal sensors and manual call points.

Subject to location, any numberfrom the total of 127 loop device addresses can be wireless devices,controlled through one or more Radio Loop Modules.

Each wireless device, controlledthrough the ZR400 has its own unique address, with which the main firealarm control panel communicates, providing the same system facilitiesas directly wired devices.

TheZR400 Radio Loop Module provides a seamless interface between thehardwired components, connected directly to the ZP loop wiring and itsown wireless devices.

Two versions of the unit are available,the ZR471 providing one way communication from devices to module andinstalled where alarm sounders are to be hardwired and the ZR472 fortwo way communication where alarm sounders and interface units are tobe included within the wireless part of the system.

The ZR400 Radio Loop Module and its associated equipment enableswireless fire alarm devices, to be controlled directly from the ZPhardwired loop.
