The cast-in-situ pump station or "Wet Sump" is often only a temporary measure. However, even when it is not, it can be an expensive and time consuming job.
The precast units are easily installed and can be placed in single or multiple units as greater capacity is required.
This technique is very useful in situations where it will be many years before the full capacity of a pump station may be required. The connections at the base can also have valves installed should
it be required to isolate the various chambers.
The customer supplies the steel cover frame (obtainable from the pump supplier) and SCP cast it in.
