India Mark III - VLOM Deep well Hand Pump

We offer India Mark III - VLOM Deep well Hand Pump. This pump is a modified version of the India Mark II, based on the "VLOM" concept,strongly promoted by World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP and other development aid organizations during the Drinking Water and Sanitation Decade. "VLOM"means "Village Level Operation and Maintenance" management by users,especially women. According to the VLOM concept, a hand pump has to berobust and reliable under field conditions, cost effective, and lastly be maintainable by users at village level.

* The water tank assembly has the appropriate coupler to suit 65 mm or50 mm NB GI riser pipes. A special Cone Plate with rubber Cone is available for installation of PVC / HDPE riser pipes. The cone plateand cone can also be used to reduce stresses on the GI riser pipe joint to the Water Tank.

* The Cylinder incorporates an open top cap and suitable plunger and check valve assemblies to facilitate their removal for maintenance without the need to lift the riser pipes out of the borewell. This makes maintenance easily possible by village women caretakers /mechanics.

* Cylinder is adaptable for use with Universal Cylinder components.

* Very easy to install up to depths of 30 m. Use of a tripod and chain pulley block is recommended beyond this depth.

* This hand pump can be supplied with different types of Stands, i.e.,with standard three legs, or with a square or circular flange to suit the users' requirements.
