The seal graced the hood of many vehicles in the mid 1980s. It formed the seal where the antenna met the hood of a car. The outer, curved surface is visible to the consumer and had to be defect-free with a fine finish. The inner parts included two raised nubs for placement and a small square slot to allow for the mounting of the antenna to the side panel of the car. (Continued below.)
