commercial sectors of industry. IMC has developed and manufactured pneumatic valves for a variety of aircraft, including military and commercial planes, helicopters, military and commercial
vehicles, and industrial controls, to name a few. For example, IMC Magnetics designed and produced pneumatic valves for Boeing that are currently used in model 777 aircraft.
Pneumatic solenoid valves can be grouped into two different types - proportional pneumatic solenoid valves and digital on/off pneumatic solenoid valves. Digital pneumatic solenoid valves utilize a
combination of an open-closed position with an electrical on and off control. Proportional pneumatic solenoid valves merge a specific position (somewhere between closed and open) in a proportional
fashion with a varying-current or tension control device/circuit. As the technology for pneumatic solenoid valves has evolved, there have been new developments in flow control methods, allowing for
the use of digital components and replacing the proportional parts.
IMC is also a licensed and certified FAA Repair Station, which allows IMC to repair and overhaul aircraft solenoids, solenoid valves (including pneumatic valves), fans and DC force motors.
Specifically, IMC Magnetics is authorized by the FAA to repair aircraft accessories in Classes 1 and 2. IMC meets all requirements set out in Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 145.
