Combine the meter excess flow valve with BrassCraft coated large diameter stainless steel gas connector to provide automatic gas safety protection for large demand appliances.
The Safety+PLUS? meter excess flow valve features patented calibrated float technology that, during the product's lifecycle, offers distinct advantages over spring-actuated or seismic devices. Calibrated float technology employs no parts that can wear or break over time. In addition, the float will not suffer memory loss due to metal fatigue providing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week protection. And finally, the excess flow technology is not activated by vibration, and will respond only when a rupture or disconnection has occurred in the piping system.
A new line of patented, magnet-based excess flow valves from BrassCraft. In the event of a gas line rupture or disconnection, the Safety+PLUS? valve immediately restricts gas flow to a non-hazardous level (bypass flow) to avert the potential for a dangerous release of gas into the home. Gas flow is inhibited only at the appliance where the problem exists; the rest of the homes system will continue to function. Only once the gas line is properly repaired, the bypass flow automatically resets the device to restore gas flow to the appliance. CSA design certified, Safety+PLUS? excess flow valves are available for gas range, furnace, water heater, space heater, dryer and gas log fireplace applications.

In the event of a gas pipe rupture or disconnect, the meter excess flow valve restricts gas flow at the meter or large gas appliance. Gas flow is immediately restricted to a non-hazardous level
(bypass) to avert the potential for a dangerous release of gas into the home. Only once the gas pipe rupture has been properly repaired, the bypass flow restores pressure within the piping system
automatically resetting the valve and restoring gas flow to the home or appliance.
