Auto Drain Valve

After installing one-touch way of nipple to drain ball valve which is attached to compressor tank or air tank, connecting it with this drain valve using hose and fixing it with discharging hose, and then installation is completed.

Float method doesnt need to supply power separately and can be installed simply.

5.   Simple Installation with No Motive Power

This drain valve uses large enough floating ball and acts enough strength to open and close nozzle, and therefore, there is no barrier due to oil.

Condensate contains certain oil, if this oil is collected to inside of drain valve, small floating ball cannot float in low specific gravity of oil, and therefore, there can be a chance which nozzle is not opened.

4.   The Structure Overcoming Oil Barrier

However, if drain valve decompresses by itself, because condensate which is generated in tank moves into drain valve by the difference of pressure, there is no blocking chance and it can discharge condensate effectively though it is installed to any position.

In order to resolve this problem, the pressures of valve and tank are made equally by laying pipes from valve to tank. Then, because the pressures of drain valve and tank become equal and condensate in tank flows into drain valve only by gravity, it can be blocked easily even by small foreign body. And drain valve should be located on lower place than tank floor, and therefore, condensate will be discharged.

After condensate in tank is discharged out, air pressure is filled into drain valve, and in this situation, newly generated condensate cannot flow into drain valve due to air pressure which is filled into drain valve.

3.   Self-Decompression Function

But, because the nozzle of this auto drain valve is made of only high strength of stainless and ceramic, it shows very excellent durability with little abrasion.

Condensate contains much foreign bodies such as iron powder and oil, which stimulate O-ring or packing with high pressure, and therefore, the life of valve may become short due to abrasion and destruction.

Mostly, to the nozzle of drain valve, rubber O-ring or packing is used.

2.   The Structure with Excellent Durability

The nozzle of this drain valve is not opened as much as generating condensate, but makes complete open temporarily at certain point by gathering certain amounts of condensate. Therefore, because every foreign body is rapidly discharged to complete opening nozzle space by pressure, it has no blocking.

Because generally in floating ball type drain valve, its nozzle opens as much as generating condensate, it can be blocked regardless of the size of nozzle hole.

Because old piston type compressor contains much oil in condensate and has much foreign bodies including rust stain, its not easy to use auto drain valve.
