Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. This advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal One Touch Ultra coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. Next comes pre-infusion. To optimize the flavor extraction, a special step injects a little hot water into the freshly ground coffee, in order to soak it and let it swell up. This is done just before the actual brew cycle commences. The grounds are pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded automatically into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.

Special Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle

This option allows you to pour pre-ground coffee into a funnel that is accessed by lifting a small lid on top of the machine. This feature is perfect when there is someone in the crowd who wants a decaffeinated espresso and there are only caffeine espresso beans in the machine, or if you wish to sample other blends of coffee. After making a cup of coffee with the pre-ground option, the machine automatically resets back to the beans held in the machine. Its all up to tasters choice.
