Simply place coffeeinto the glass carafe, pour boiling water into the canister, and light the spirit lamp (burner below the canister).  As the water continues to heat, the steam rises out through the siphontube and cools back to water as it enters the carafe.  When the water hascompletely transferred to the glass carafe, the counterweight causes the canisterto rise, closing the heat source, and forming a vacuum in the kettle.  Theperfectly brewed, coffee is then pulled back through the siphon tubeand into the kettle.
