It has a very solid construction with quality heavy-gauge polished stainless steel panelling and metal components throughout. It features a professional E61 group head (the E61 group head was originally developed by Faema) which is made from solid brass with chrome plating. Water circulates through the group head and the heat exchanger (thermosyphon), and the solid metal of the group head acts as a heat sink helping to stabilise the water temperature as you draw your espresso.

In common with most commercial machines it has a large boiler with a heat exchanger and can produce continuous steam. The heat exchanger allows you to both draw espresso shots and use steam at any time and without "preparing" the machine first, as you do with most domestic espresso machines, by switching it into steam mode.
