This touchless, sanitary, hands free, automatic lid open trash can uses infrared sensor induction. Place hand or debris about 6" away from the infrared sensor near the lid. It will open automatically and will close in 3 seconds after debris has been released and hand moves away from the sensor. Lid will remain open if debris or hand is within 6" of the infrared sensor. It creates a germ free, odor free, automated environment. Free up both hands and feet eliminating need to push, pull, or step. There are manual releases and open buttons on the front, and an on/off button on the back of the trash can. If you open 20 times a day, batteries can last for 6 months.
