Weeds present an ever-worsening problem for ornamental plant cultivation. Environmental pressures restricting the use of chemicals and also increasing labour shortage is making weed control more
difficult and costly.
The COIR-DISK covers the product and consists of durable coconut fibre and natural
latex. Both elements are completely biologically biodegradable. The COIR-DISK
is the answer to weeds and liver wort.
Characteristics
As well as the effective weed control the COIR-DISK retains soil moisture in the
pot. Water and nutrients pass easily downwards through the coconut fibre. The disc
can either be used under glass or outside. It is quick and easy to fit and can
be used for up to two years, once fitted it does not blow away easily.
