Privacy screen can be added at low level wall height to provide privacy when bathing around pool or sunbathing, can be used in other applications, such as wind protection and has some water proofing properties as weave is closed.

Solar screen is used to cut out 70% of sun's rays and light, can be used to create shaded areas within screen rooms or for all the roof, or indeed the walls.

18x16 is used for windows, doors and small screen rooms. 

18x14 is the best for use with large applications, such as pool enclosures etc, and in fact the Southern building code in America for screen rooms will not allow the use of any other screen.

Fiberglass weave insect screen mesh, is very tough and is used prodominately by  the screening industry.  It fits into the aluminum profiles for pool and patio, using a special tools and rubber (vinyl) flat spline which locks it into place, unlike the old style round spline, it will not come out easily when load is applied to it.
