The pieces of silver are stamped with the symbol WB and also the name W. Birkowski. This was done when an artisan made an item specifically for royalty to document their business success. WB is catalogued as a master from the town of Minsk, and so to add his entire name is considered to be an important detail worth noting. In addition, there is a star symbol stamped on each piece.
