All of the Spoon &Bowl Sets are sealed with Three BEEautiful Bees All-Natural Beeswax Polish, made with out any petroleum byproducts. To maintain the life of the bowl and spoon you must not wash it in the dishwasher. Instead, use water and a small amount of mild soap and hand dry. Camden Rose creates our cherry and beech bowls from a single piece of premium hardwood the same way that they did over 150 years ago. These are not turned on any typical lathe, which wastes an enormous amount of wood. These are turned on a scoop lathe that literally scoops out each bowl with very little waste and conserves as much wood as possible.
When Camden Rose first tested this set in pre-schools across the US there was an outpouring of excitement. The ergonomically correct design of the spoons not only teaches a child the proper way to hold a spoon, but it supports the development of other fine motor skills. Each spoon is crafted by hand from premium cherry wood. Inspired by our Child's Spoon our Baby Bear Spoon is crafted with a smaller spoon cup for tiny mouths and longer reach for parents.
